NatureTrackers’ three projects — CallTrackers, Claws on the Line, and Where? Where? Wedgie! — involve annual wildlife surveys across lutruwita / Tasmania, supported by rigorously designed science. Anyone can take part. Each year since 2018, we’ve all been working together to track the conservation status of Tasmanian bats, bitterns, birds of prey, burrowing crayfish… and more!
In schools, the library and other spots on Flinders Island and Truwana / Cape Barren Island during National Science Week, for participants of all ages, NatureTrackers coordinators Jim and Clare invite you to share and learn about the fascinating science of wildlife monitoring, and explore NatureTrackers’ and other monitoring projects’ questions, methods and findings so far.

- Join us for a cuppa, snack and chat at the Carpet Room, Flinders Arts & Entertainment Centre (FAEC), 9 Patrick Street, Whitemark
- 1.30–4.30 pm – Whitemark Libary – Drop into the Whitemark library to have a chat and find out more about all three projects.
